Before You Arrive

What to bring: A list of questions, your loved one’s basic medical information if you have it, and any family members who want to be part of the decision. You don’t need to bring your parent to the first tour. Many families prefer to visit alone first, then bring their loved one for a second visit.

When You Walk In

The first thing you’ll notice: there’s no lobby. No reception desk. No institutional entrance.

You’re walking into a home. A real house, in a real neighbourhood, with a living room, a kitchen, and the smell of something cooking for lunch. This is intentional because this is what your loved one’s daily life would look like.

What We’ll Show You

We’ll walk you through the entire home:

• The bedrooms: Private or semi-private, with space for personal belongings and family photos.
• The common areas: The living room where residents spend their day and the dining area where meals are shared.
• The kitchen: Where home-cooked meals are prepared three times a day.
• The outdoor space: Backyards, patios, or pool areas depending on the location.
• The caregivers: You’ll meet the people who would be caring for your loved one daily.

What We’ll Ask You

This isn’t a sales pitch. It’s a conversation about whether Angel’s Haven is the right fit for your family. We’ll ask about:

After the Tour

There is absolutely no pressure to make a decision during or after the tour. Take your time. Talk with your family. Visit again if you want to. Call us with follow-up questions.

Many families visit 2 to 3 times before making a decision. Some bring their parent on the second visit so they can see how their loved one reacts to the environment. Some families know within five minutes. There’s no wrong timeline.
