Small residential homes designed for calm, consistency, and dignity. Six residents. A caregiver always present. A real home — not a facility wing — in five communities across Southern California.
Understanding the Service
Memory care is specialized support for individuals living with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or other cognitive conditions that affect memory, reasoning, and daily functioning. Unlike standard assisted living, memory care is intentionally structured to reduce confusion, prevent unsafe wandering, and create a sense of safety and belonging for the person receiving care.
At Angel's Haven Care, memory care isn't a locked ward or an institutional wing — it's a real home on a real neighborhood street. Consistent caregivers, a calm daily rhythm, and only six fellow residents mean your loved one can feel like themselves in an environment that actually feels like home. See why our model compares so differently →
The Small-Home Advantage
Research consistently shows that individuals with memory conditions thrive in calm, familiar, low-stimulation environments — not large institutional facilities. Here is what makes the difference.
Our homes have six residents — not sixty. Quiet hallways, familiar sounds, and a true domestic setting reduce the anxiety and agitation that commonly worsen in large facilities.
A 1:3 caregiver ratio means your loved one sees the same caregivers every day. Familiarity reduces fear and builds real trust — something impossible where staff rotate constantly.
Predictable schedules — wake time, meals, activities, rest — are powerfully stabilizing for memory care residents. We build each day around your loved one's own familiar patterns.
Familiar domestic environments — kitchens, living rooms, gardens — are far less disorienting than clinical corridors. Our homes feel like home because they are homes.
With only six residents, caregivers genuinely know each person — their preferences, triggers, life history, and personality. Care is personal, not protocol-driven.
Small homes welcome families. Open-door visits, regular updates, and true care partnerships create a full circle of support around your loved one.
Know the Signs
Many families wait too long, managing at home until a crisis occurs. These signs suggest your loved one may benefit from the structure and safety of residential memory care:
If several of these apply, please call us. Our team can help you assess whether residential memory care is the right next step — with no pressure and no obligation. If your family needs temporary relief while exploring options, our short-term respite care program is also available.
What We Provide
Every resident receives a comprehensive care experience built around their individual needs, history, and cognitive stage.
Managed by Licensed RCFE Administrators
Both co-founders are California Licensed RCFE Administrators — credentialed, hands-on leaders who are directly accountable for the care standard in every Angel's Haven home.
We coordinate with each resident's own physician, neurologist, and specialists — so the medical relationships your family already trusts stay fully intact.
If you're not fully satisfied in the first 30 days, we'll work with you to make it right.

After my mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer's, we spent months searching for the right place. Angel's Haven in Temecula was the answer. The caregivers know her by name, know what she likes, and know how to calm her when she's confused. She's safer and more settled than she's been in years — and our family finally sleeps at night.
My father has moderate dementia and was struggling terribly at home. Moving him to Angel's Haven in Murrieta was the best decision we made. The small home environment — just six residents — made all the difference. He's settled and comfortable, and the same caregiver greets him every morning. That consistency has been everything.
When we visited the Lake Elsinore home, I actually cried — because it looked like a real home, not a facility. My grandmother has Lewy body dementia and the team understood her specific needs immediately. Ricardo Garcia and his staff are exceptional people doing exceptional work.

Family caregivers give so much of themselves - often at the expense of their own health and well-being. Respite care is not a luxury. It's a necessity. And when your loved one stays with us, they'll receive the same quality of care you would give them - plus 24/7 professional support.
Understanding Respite Care
Respite care is temporary, short-term care provided to give the primary caregiver a break. It can last anywhere from a few days to several weeks - or longer if needed. During that time, your loved one stays in one of our residential homes and receives the full complement of professional care: meals, personal hygiene assistance, medication management, activities, and 24/7 caregiver presence.
For the family caregiver, this time is an opportunity to sleep, travel, recover from illness or surgery, attend to other family responsibilities, or simply breathe.
You are not abandoning your loved one. You are ensuring they are safe and cared for while you restore the energy it takes to continue caring for them. Respite is an act of love - for them and for yourself.
For Family Caregivers
Caregiver burnout is real, common, and serious. Recognizing the signs is the first step toward getting the relief you deserve. If several of these sound familiar, respite care may be exactly what you need.
Persistent exhaustion that doesn't improve with rest
Increasing irritability, resentment, or feelings of hopelessness
Neglecting your own health, doctor's appointments, or medications
Social withdrawal and isolation from friends and family
Disrupted sleep due to nighttime caregiving or worry
Anxiety about what would happen if you couldn't provide care
Physical symptoms - headaches, chronic pain, weakened immunity
Feeling like no one else could possibly care for your loved one the way you do
"Caring for yourself is not selfish - it is essential. A caregiver who is burned out, sick, or exhausted cannot give their loved one the care they deserve. Respite is how you protect both of you."
The Respite Process
Getting started is straightforward. We make the process as easy as possible for families who are already carrying a heavy load.
Reach out to our team at (951) 452-1216 or [email protected]. Let us know your timeline, your loved one's care needs, and which location works best for your family.
We'll gather information about your loved one's care needs, medical history, preferences, and routine - so we can match them to the right home and prepare the team before arrival.
We welcome you to tour one of our homes before the stay. Seeing the environment and meeting the caregivers can greatly ease anxiety for both you and your loved one.
We'll help make the transition as smooth and comfortable as possible - welcoming your loved one with familiar comforts, introducing them to the caregivers and other residents, and following their home routine as closely as we can.
You'll receive regular check-ins from our team during the stay. You're welcome to call, visit, or video chat with your loved one at any time.
When the respite period ends, we'll help coordinate a smooth return home. We can also discuss extended care options if the experience suggests your loved one would benefit from ongoing residential support.
Flexible Stay Options
A few days of relief - for a trip, a medical procedure, or simply to rest and recover.
One to several weeks - for longer travel, recovery, or a more substantial break from daily caregiving.
Use respite as an opportunity to trial residential care before making a longer-term decision.
Many families begin with a respite stay and discover that their loved one thrives in our home environment. If both you and your loved one decide they'd like to stay permanently, transitioning from respite to long-term care is straightforward - as long as a space is available at the home.
During the Respite Stay
During their stay, your loved one receives the same comprehensive care as any long-term resident. Nothing is cut short or simplified because it's temporary.
Three nutritious meals and snacks daily, prepared fresh and adapted for any dietary needs or swallowing restrictions.
All medications administered accurately and on schedule by our trained caregivers throughout the stay.
Bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene assistance provided with dignity and respect - every day.
Music, gentle exercise, social activities, and cognitive engagement tailored to your loved one's interests and abilities.
An awake caregiver is always present - day and night - to respond to any need that arises.
Clothing and linen laundering, and a clean, well-maintained home environment throughout the stay.
Communication with existing physicians and oversight by Medical Director Dr. Jeremy V. Gomer, MD as needed.
Regular check-ins so you can rest knowing exactly how your loved one is doing - without having to ask.
If you are reading this page, you have probably been carrying something very heavy for a very long time. You have been showing up - for your parent, your spouse, your loved one - every single day. Often without thanks. Often at the cost of your own sleep, health, and personal life.
You deserve rest. You deserve to go a week without worrying. You deserve to remember who you are outside of being a caregiver.
Calling us isn't giving up - it's making sure you can keep going. And when your loved one is with us, they are safe, warm, fed, cared for, and known by name. You can exhale.
Respite stays are available at prorated monthly rates. All services included - no hidden fees. Minimum stay requirements may apply; call to discuss your specific dates and needs.

I hadn't slept through the night in over a year. My mother came to Angel's Haven Care in Lake Elsinore for two weeks while I recovered from back surgery. When I picked her up, she was rested and happy - and so was I. The caregivers knew her name, her preferences, her routine. I felt no guilt whatsoever. Just relief.
We used Angel's Haven Care for respite care in Murrieta while our family traveled for my niece's wedding. I was anxious about leaving my father, but he adjusted so quickly. The home was warm and calm, and the team sent us photos. By the end of the trip, he didn't want to leave! He's now a permanent resident.
I resisted respite care for months. I felt like I was the only one who could care for my grandmother properly. Then I visited Angel's Haven Care in Temecula and realized - these caregivers are extraordinary. She was safe, loved, and engaged. I finally took a real vacation for the first time in three years. Thank you, Ricardo and team.
